Absolutely yes! Our tours are designed to be suitable for everyone, from those new to hiking to more experienced hikers. Just check the different options on our hikes calendar. Respecting your body, pace, and needs, our guides will be there to support you every step of the way. If you’re starting with a lower fitness level, the first hike may be challenging, but your body will adapt, and each hike will feel easier. Rest assured, we’re all in this together, supporting each other as one team and we will adapt the pace accordingly.

We also apply our own grading system to help you choose a hike that suits your experience and fitness:
Beginner: Ideal for those new to hiking, featuring gentle hills and uneven terrain. These hikes average 2.5 hours with minimal ascents (under 300m).
Intermediate: Designed for those with some hiking experience, offering moderate challenges. These hikes average 3.5 hours with a total ascent around 450m.
Advanced: Perfect for confident hikers seeking rewarding day hike adventures. These hikes average 5 hours with up to 750m of total ascent.
Expert: For those eager to push their boundaries, these challenging hikes range from 6 to 8 hours, with an average ascent of 1000m.
Important Note: Our internal levels do not always align directly with the Australian Grading System. For example, a Grade 3 hike may be listed as Advanced due to its length, or a Grade 4 hike may be marked as Intermediate if the challenging section is brief.
You can find the Hike Level Grading on our hikes calendar. If you’re unsure about your fitness level or need assistance selecting a hike, feel free to contact our team, we’re happy to help!

Please note that we do not provide lunch so everyone should bring their own meals for our hiking events. We’ll provide recommendations for the best hiking-friendly food and what to eat before hiking. However, we do offer healthy snacks during our hikes. Please specify any dietary requirements and allergies during registration so we can accommodate your needs.

No, transport is not included in our hikes, but we highly encourage car-sharing to support our mission of reducing carbon emissions. Co-sharing transport not only helps the environment but also builds a sense of community from the start. I’m also happy to drive participants if we meet at a central spot, so feel free to reach out if you’d like to arrange this!

Yes and no - you do need to prepare yourself and get the right gear for the hiking tour. The cost depends on the gear you already own and whether you need to acquire additional items. It varies based on the brand, quality, and whether you buy new, second-hand, or rent. We see it as a worthwhile investment, marking the start of your hiking journey! We highly recommend getting your own hiking shoes, and you can always borrow other gear if needed. We will provide you with a checklist of must-have and optional gear to ensure you're well-prepared. If you want to purchase equipment, we recommend ONE PLANET’s Camplist (Link here). ONE PLANET is an Australian owned maker of quality outdoor gear that’s well priced and built to last. That’s good for the planet!

Kids are not allowed on those tours. You must be 18+ years old to partake in our hiking tours.

Toilet facilities along the trail differ by location, and specific details will be provided for each hiking event. While some trails may offer public toilets or town stops, you’ll likely need to use a "bush toilet," as we call it. To support environmental preservation, our guides will carry toilet paper and waste bags, and participants are encouraged to bring their own supplies. Please ensure all rubbish is properly disposed of, leaving no trace behind.

Partaking in an outdoor activity involves few risks due to the nature of the activity. However, a significant component of our tours is to prepare participants physically to minimise risks of injuries by giving you all necessary advice. Additionally, all our guides hold their Wilderness First Aid Training, have extensive experience and the provider carries insurance. We still highly encourage participants to get an ambulance cover in case of any issues.

If you need to cancel, all purchases of Day Hikes or Day Hike Packages are non-refundable; however, we can offer to transfer you to a different Day Hike event, subject to availability, though the same hike or park cannot be guaranteed. In cases where the Provider cancels due to extreme circumstances such as unsafe weather conditions as determined by the Bureau of Meteorology (e.g., damaging winds, flood risk, or bushfire risk), we will reschedule your hike to another event and/or another date. If the new options are unsuitable, a full refund may be issued. For full details, please refer to our Terms & Conditions.
