You-Yangs Flinders Loop

  • Turntable Car Park Turntable Drive Little River, VIC, 3211 Australia (map)

Starting from the Turntable carpark, the trail ascends approximately 450 steps to reach Flinders Peak, the highest point in the You Yangs at 343 meters. Along the way, you will be treated to panoramic views of the surrounding volcanic plains, with sights extending towards Melbourne, Geelong, and Port Phillip Bay. The path is well-defined, featuring sections that wind through tall eucalypt forests and around granite boulders, providing opportunities to observe local wildlife such as echidnas and wallabies. Upon reaching the summit, a lookout platform offers breathtaking vistas, making the climb worthwhile. The descent follows the East Track, completing the loop back to the carpark.
